About Establishment

It is the policy of IEEE headquarters that Chapter activities are carried out under the Section to which their members are affiliated. However, if there is a large difference in the number of members affiliated to different Chapters it is recommended that a Joint Chapter be formed. The Joint Chapter can exceed the geographical scope of a single Section. This time, considering the distribution of IEEE members belonging to the Magnetics Society, the Sendai Chapter and Sapporo Chapter have merged to form the Sendai/Sapporo (Joint) Chapter. IEEE Chapter activities are being carried out under this name.
